A 27-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Monday, March 10 after previously pleading guilty to providing fentanyl that resulted in the deaths of two teenagers in 2022, authorities said. Elias Santiago pleaded guilty in December to two counts of strict liability drug-inducted death, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. Fire Breaks Out At Jersey Shore Waterfront House Under Construction
A waterfront house under construction caught on fire in Avalon, officials said. Avalon firefighters responded to the house on the 4600 block of Fourth Avenue at around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, the borough said in a Facebook post. The three-story lightweight wood frame was on fire with heavy flames on the second and third floors. No injuries were reported in the fire. Crews had the fire under control in about 75 minutes.
