A Cumberland County man was accused of driving while high on drugs when he crashed his car into two poles in Margate, authorities said. Thieves Steal From Luxury Fashion Store's New Shop Along Jersey Shore, Police Say
Thieves broke into a luxury fashion store in Margate two months after it opened for business, authorities said. Margate City police responded to an alarm at Caroline's Fashion Luxuries on Ventnor Avenue at around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, the department said in a news release. Several 911 calls were also made after witnesses saw the suspects break the store's glass window. One city in Atlantic County is cracking down on unsupervised teens late at night after several issues in other parts of the Jersey Shore, authorities said. The Margate City Police Department posted on Facebook on Wednesday, June 12 that officers will take "a more proactive approach" to enforcing the city's curfew for children.
