Kevin Herget will be pitching a stone's throw away from his home state next season. The Mets signed the 33-year-old Park Ridge native off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers, the MLB confirmed Monday, Nov. 4. Rachel Minaya, who is married to former Mets general manager and current Yankees executive Omar Minaya, was found dead in their New Jersey home over the weekend, the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Monday afternoon. Minaya, 55, was found in the bathroom of a Harrington Park home unconscious and unresponsive, bringing local police officers to the scene just after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
