Police ID Missing Fisherman Found Dead In NJ Lake
Police have identified the fisherman who went missing and was later found dead in a New Jersey lake. Valeri Malov, of Pine Brook, had gone fishing in the body of water behind an industrial complex on Chapin Road Saturday morning, Aug. 24, Montville Police Chief Andrew Caggiano said. Responding officers found his fishing equipment on the shoreline and began a search of the area. Malov's body was found the following day around 8:50 p.m. in the water, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Caggiano said. Gavin Rogers was last seen at 10 p.m. wearing a navy polo shirt, khaki shorts, green shoes and black frame prescription glasses, Scotch Plains police He was reported missing on Monday, Aug. 19 Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. A 35-year-old Paramus man's body was believed to have been recovered from a river in Vermont on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 14 after a multi-day search, authorities said. Tuan Baldino was initially reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 10 after swimming in Mad River in the northern part of the state. The body of Orlando Chamorro, who had been reported missing out of North Arlington on Friday, Aug. 2, was recovered from the Passaic River on Monday, Aug. 5, Essex County Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelley said. A 33-year-old Irvington man who had been missing since mid-June was found dead on Sunday, June 30, authorities said. Isaac Bishop had been missing since Tuesday, June 11, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The search for a missing paddleboarder on a Sussex County lake came to a tragic end Sunday morning, July 7, police said. James Lee, 61, of Sandyston, had been on a stand-up paddleboard on Kittatinny Lake when he fell into the water and did not re-emerge Friday, July 5 around 6:45 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt.
