Woman Robbed, Dragged Into Street: Newark PD
A woman was robbed of her purse and dragged int the street in Newark on the morning of Sunday, July 14, authorities said. At 6:10 a.m., a woman was walking on Ferry Street near Union Street when she was approached by a Black man who snatched her purse, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. While in the process of removing her purse, the woman was dragged into the street by the suspect where she fell and was injured, Fragé said. Man Carjacked At Gunpoint: Newark PD
A man was carjacked at gunpoint on the early morning of Wednesday, June 26, authorities said. At 5 a.m., a man was parked on the 700 block of South 17th Street when he was approached by a Black man, wearing a black sweater and black face mask and brandishing a firearm, who opened his driver-side door and demanded he get out of the vehicle, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
