Felon From NJ Charged With Child Rape In Lebanon, PA: Affidavit
A New Jersey man with a felony criminal record in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey has been arrested on child rape charges police announced on Thursday, Aug. 1.
Jose Enrique "Enrico" Rivas, 47 of Newark, NJ, was arrested in New Jersey on a warrant issued by Lebanon City Police on Wednesday, July 31, as detailed in the police release.
Rivas will be extradited to Lebanon, PA, the police explained.

Man Stole Security Officer's Loaded Firearm From Vehicle: Newark PD
A man is at large after he snatched a firearm from a security officer's vehicle in Newark on Friday, July 19, authorities said.
At 11:50 a.m., the suspect broke into the car, parked at Franklin Street and Federal Square and took his loaded off-duty weapon, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
The suspect, a man with a thin build, also took a tan-colored holster and a black army pattern multi camo shoulder bag, Fragé said. He wore a black shirt and gray shorts and fled the scene on a bicycle heading eastbound on Franklin Street, then onto Mulberry Street, Fragé said.

Prosecutor IDs 31-Year-Old Woman Shot Dead In NJ's Largest City
A woman was fatally shot in Newark on Sunday, July 28, authorities said.
At 11:23 p.m., Newark police responded to 4th Avenue and North 12th Street where they found Brielle Alston, 31, suffering from a gunshot wound, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens, II and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Frage said.
Alston was transported to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:20 a.m., Stephens and Frage said.
