A 37-year-old Orange man convicted for fatally shooting a person outside a ShopRite was sentenced to 65 years in prison on Wednesday, March 19, authorities said. Darienne Murray was previously convicted of first degree murder for fatally shooting Melja Oliver, a 37-year-old East Orange resident, outside the supermarket at 533 Martin Luther King Blvd, Essex County Prosecutor Theodore Stephens said. A mother is facing charges after her 6-year-old daughter died in Newark on Monday, March 10, authorities said.
