Teenager On Scooter Critical After Jersey City Crash: Authorities
A 17-year-old is in critical condition after he struck a vehicle while riding a scooter on the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 27 in Jersey City, authorities said. The crash occurred at Route 440 and Danforth Avenue, near the intersection, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. The teenager was transported to a local hospital with apparent life-threatening injuries to his head, Wallace-Scalfione said. He was last stated to be in critical condition, Wallace-Scalfioe said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfioe said.

Two people are in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle outside Arts High School in Newark on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 23, authorities said. At 10:39 a.m., police responded to the 500 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard on a call of two pedestrians struck, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash: Fanwood PD
A motorcyclist had to be airlifted to a hospital after a crash in Fanwood on the evening of Friday, Oct. 18, authorities said. At 9:18 p.m., officers responded to a crash at Midway Avenue and Tillotson Road after a motorcycle collided with a vehicle, Fanwood police said in a release. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police said. This incident is currently under investigation, with the Union County Police Traffic Unit assisting, police said.
