Vehicle Crashes In Central Jersey, Overturns Into Garden State Parkway Median (Developing) A vehicle crashed and overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County, officials said. The crash happened in the parkway's southbound express lanes at around 11:08 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, the state Department of Transportation said. An NJDOT camera showed a blue SUV on its driver's side in the parkway's median. State troopers and firefighters responded to the scene. A driver died after crashing on Wednesday, June 12 after a medical emergency, Monroe police said. The crash occurred on Applegarth Road (Route 619) in Monroe at about 10 a.m., police said. Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Central Jersey A 42-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Monroe Township, authorities said. The driver was eastbound on Buckelew Avenue near Grace Hill Road at about 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 when he struck the man walking in the roadway, Monroe police said.
