Bruce Cymanski, a 52-year-old Barnegat resident, who was convicted of murdering Noga last year, was sentenced to life in prison on Monday, March 17, authorities said.
On Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999, Noga was reported missing after she did not return home from work, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief Daniel Plumacker of the Sayreville Police Department said. Her body was discovered in a wooded area behind a strip mall on Ernston Road five days later, authorities said.
An autopsy later determined Noga died from blunt force trauma after being struck with a blunt object, authorities said. Cymanski was not arrested for her murder until 2021, authorities said.
At the trial, Cymanski was convicted of first degree murder, aggravated sexual assault, kidnapping and unlawful use of a weapon.
