A Point Pleasant man was accused of stealing and crashing a plane in Atlantic County, authorities said. Robert Wagner, 42, was arrested in Corbin City on Wednesday, Aug. 7, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to a report of a suspicious man walking out of the woods near Main Street. A single-engine Cirrus SR-22 crashed in a field northeast of Atlantic City International Airport, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The pilot was alone on board, the FAA said. The condition of the pilot was not reported by the FAA. The FAA will investigate.
