Mark Dial Sentenced, Immediately Paroled For Killing Eddie Irizarry: DA Slams Outcome
Former Philadelphia Police Officer Mark Dial was sentenced to 9½ months to two years in jail on Thursday, July 17 — but walked free moments later, having already served 10 months behind bars. Dial, 29, was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in May for fatally shooting 27-year-old Eddie Irizarry during a 2023 traffic stop in Kensington. He was also found guilty of possessing an instrument of crime and recklessly endangering another person.
