Swastika-Covered Cadillac In NJ Sees EMT Plates Revoked By DMV
New York’s DMV has revoked specialty EMT license plates from a Cadillac plastered with swastikas and antisemitic graffiti that was seen parked on a North Jersey street last month. Levi's Sells Dockers For $311M+ To Brand Giant Behind Forever 21, Reebok
Levi Strauss & Co. is selling its Dockers brand to Authentic Brands Group for at least $311 million. The agreement was announced on Tuesday, May 20. The deal could reach up to $391 million based on Dockers' future growth under Authentic, whose portfolio also includes Forever 21's intellectual property, Nautica, and Reebok. Bill To Keep Old Criminal Records Off Background Checks Vetoed By Murphy, Offers Another Plan
A New Jersey bill aimed at preventing outdated criminal records from appearing on background checks, if charges were being expunged, has been vetoed by Gov. Phil Murphy. The governor instead proposed an online tracking system and annual reporting requirements to address the state’s expungement backlog. Twenty-three unlicensed movers have been issued notices of violation and assessed civil penalties totaling $125,000, New Jersey officials said. Wildwood Boardwalk Businesses Sold Vape Products Without Tobacco Licenses, Police Say
Several businesses on the Wildwoods Boardwalk were accused of selling vape products and tobacco without proper licenses, authorities said. Eight business owners were charged in the crackdown, the City of Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Wednesday, Aug. 14.
