Central Jersey School Board Member Charged With Child Porn Possession, Prosecutors Say
A Farmingdale school board member and crossing guard was accused of having child pornography, authorities said. William Shaffer, 47, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. He was charged with third-degree possession of child sexual abuse materials. The county prosecutor's office received a tip in September from a cloud-based software company through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. South Jersey Man Who Tried To Abduct Girl, Groped Woman Pleads Guilty: Prosecutors
A Farmingdale man admitted to trying to kidnap a teen girl and groping a woman in a Target parking lot during a two-county crime spree, authorities said. Quamel Benton, 36, pleaded guilty on Monday, Oct. 21 to attempted kidnapping, two counts of eluding, and criminal sexual contact, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Leesburg Father, 35, Identified As Man Found Dead At Recycling Plant: Troopers
Authorities have identified a Leesburg man whose body was discovered on a conveyor belt at a Monmouth County recycling facility. Nicholas Holsten, 35, was found dead at the Republic Services recycling plant in Farmingdale on Wednesday, Sept. 4, a state police spokesperson said on Monday, Sept. 23.
