Man Robbed At Gunpoint, Assaulted: Newark PD A man was robbed at gunpoint of $1,600 and assaulted in Newark on the early morning of Saturday, June 6, authorities said. At 2 a.m., police responded to the 40 block of Napoleon Street and found a man suffering from lacerations to his face after he was assaulted and robbed by two to three suspects, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G.
