The pedestrian was hit by a southbound North Jersey Coast Line train No. 3241 at the Monmouth Street crossing at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, an NJ Transit spokesperson said. The crossing is next to the Red Bank transit station. Man Shot In Jersey City: Authorities A 34-year-old man was briefly hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Jersey City on the early morning of Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:35 a.m., the man was transported to a nearby hospital from Eastern Parkway and Garfield Avenue after he sustained non-life threatening injuries to the right buttocks, right thigh area and right wrist, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said.  He was treated and released from the hospital on Monday, Oct. 7, Wallace-Scalfione said. At 5:20 p.m., the Bayonne Fire Department responded to 167 West 9th St. after receiving multiple reports of a fire, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
