Man Fatally Stabbed Girlfriend In Irvington: Prosecutor
A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder in the first degree after fatally stabbing his girlfriend in Irvington on the early morning of Sunday, Dec. 8, authorities said. Irvington police responded to 101 21st Street and found Shanniyya Major, a 32-year-old East Orange woman unresponsive with multiple stab wounds, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. An 18-year-old Newark resident and two juveniles were arrested on Thursday, Dec. 5 for a fatal shooting on Sunday, Dec. 1, authorities said.
