A Bergen County man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of the 2021 murder of his girlfriend, who he stabbed and beat in her home, prosecutors said.
Patrick J. Camilli, 59, of Washington Township, was sentenced to life in prison on Dec. 6, following his conviction for the 2021 murder of 51-year-old Mary E. Huber, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.

The New Jersey Department of Corrections is mourning the loss of Senior Correctional Police Officer Ryan Robert Stemple, who died on Monday, Dec. 2.
Ryan, 51, of Park Ridge (Bergen County), was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer that metastasized to a small area of his lung earlier this year, according to a GoFundMe campaign launched for his daughter.

An Elizabeth man has been charged in connection to a series of residential burglaries across Bergen County, authorities said Monday, Nov. 25.
Jonnathan Diaz-Gomez, 42, was arrested following a months-long investigation led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Paramus Police Department, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

It was a happy Halloween for three lottery players in North Jersey.
Three tickets, sold in Bergen County, Newark and Jersey City, matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $166,806 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the drawing on Thursday, Oct. 31, with each ticket worth $55,602.

Wayne Woman, 72, Made Bomb Threat That Locked Down Holy Name Medical Center: Prosecutor
A 72-year-old woman has been charged with calling in a bomb threat to Holy Name Medical in August, authorities said.
Adele Ulrich, of Wayne, called the hospital on Aug. 17 saying that several bombs were going to detonate in the hospital, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said following a months-long investigation.
The hospital was placed on divert, and a shelter-in-place order was implemented, bringing police officers, firefighters, and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad to the scene.
