One Injured After Truck Crashes Into Home In Elizabeth: Authorities
One person was injured in a chaotic scene after a two-vehicle crash resulted in a truck crashing into a home in Elizabeth on the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 24, authorities said. At 5:58 a.m., the truck struck the car, which then hit a utility pole at Bellevue Street and West Grand Steet, a spokeswoman for the city said. The truck then crashed into a home at 800 West Grand Street, authorities said. First responders along with PSEG were at the scene, authorities said. One person was transferred to a nearby hospital in stable condition, authorities said.

A spokesperson for the Port Authority Police Department confirmed the investigation but not have any further information as of 7:40 p.m. Wednesday morning, a spokesperson said that the incident was reported at 5:42 p.m. near the 179th Street ramp in the westbound lanes. A 13-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital after he was injured playing football on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 21, in Sussex County authorities said.
