Long Island Man, 23, Dies When Car Crashes Into 18-Wheeler On NJ Turnpike: Troopers A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Donald Butler of Wheatley Heights, died in the crash in Westampton Township on Tuesday, Oct. 15, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson said.  Troopers responded to the northbound side of the turnpike near milepost 43.9 at around 9:56 p.m. The crash happened just south of Exit 5, which is the interchange for Burlington-Mount Holly Road.
