Three Garfield Officers Struck By Fleeing Vehicle: Prosecutor Three Garfield police officers were injured late Sunday night, Nov. 17, when vehicles fleeing a scene struck two of them and a police SUV over the weekend, authorities said. The incident began around 11:30 p.m. when Garfield officers responded to reports of suspicious individuals wearing masks in the 400 block of River Drive, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
