A Caribbean nation is celebrating the beginning of commercial flights from the island to the greater New York City area. The first United Airlines flight from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) to Dominica landed on Saturday, Feb. 15. The plane arrived at Douglas-Charles Airport (DOM), marking the start of weekly Saturday service between New Jersey and the country in the Lesser Antilles.
