15-Hour SWAT Standoff Ends In Arrest Of Suicidal Wayne Man, His Father A 15-hour standoff in Wayne ended peacefully early Thursday morning, Nov. 21 after police negotiated the surrender of a 27-year-old man who had armed himself with a knife and barricaded himself in his family’s home.  Officers responded to a home Preakness Avenue home just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, on reports that 27-year-old Thomas M.
