On Tuesday, Dec. 31, officers conducted a welfare check on Jermaine Jackson, who was sleeping in his vehicle which was parked and idling on East Main Street, Denville police said. An investigation revealed Jackson was under the influence of alcohol and he failed field sobriety tests, police said. Jackson was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving, police said.
