Pedestrian Killed On Jersey Shore Roadway, Police Say
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle along a Jersey Shore roadway over Labor Day Weekend, authorities said. Absecon police were called to Route 30 (Absecon Boulevard) west of the Delilah Road overpass around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, local police said. The pedestrian was killed and the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Atlantic City Robbery Fugitive Arrested On NJ Transit Train, Police Say
A Galloway Township man wanted in an Atlantic City robbery was taken into custody on a New Jersey Transit train, authorities said. Manuel Alicea, 30, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 26, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release. He was captured on the train at the Egg Harbor City station. Police said Alicea was a fugitive wanted for pistol-whipping a man on the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Four Atlantic City Boys Took Stolen SUV On Joyride In South Jersey, Police Say
Four Atlantic City boys were accused of stealing an SUV and driving it across Atlantic County, authorities said. A 14-year-old, a 13-year-old, and two 12-year-old boys were given several charges, the Galloway Township Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 12. Absecon police received a report of several people trying to break into vehicles in the city at around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. Newly-released bodycam footage shows La'Quetta Small, the wife of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Jr. and superintendent of the city's school system, caught parking in a handicapped spot at a Home Depot store without proper registration. Atlantic City Man Indicted In Teen Pedestrian's Hit-And-Run Death
An Atlantic City man was indicted in the death of a teen pedestrian in a hit-and-run crash in Absecon, authorities said. A grand jury indicted 52-year-old Everette Williams on Tuesday, June 4, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. His indictment was for second-degree leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident which resulted in death.
