Joseph Youtz, Lifelong Budd Lake Resident, Dies At 52 Joseph Youtz, who spent his entire life in the Budd Lake area, died on Monday, Dec. 9 in Hackettstown at the age of 52, according to an obituary from Cochran Funeral Home. Born in Dover, Youtz graduated from Mount Olive High School, where he excelled as an athlete, later attending Jersey City State College, where he played football, his obituary reads. Youtz later went to work his family construction business, according to his obituary. Jets Fire General Manager Amid Dismal Season The New York Jets housecleaning continues. Weeks after firing head coach Robert Saleh, the Jets, who play in East Rutherford and practice in Florham Park, have fired general manager Joe Douglas amid a dismal 3-8 record, ESPN reported.  Douglas was already on the outs at 1 Jets Dr., having not been consulted when the team fired Saleh amid a 2-3 start, ESPN said. Gang Green has gone 1-5 since firing Saleh and naming Jeff Ulbrich interim coach. Douglas was hired as general manager in June 2019 with the goal of turning the Jets around, though the team has gone 30-64 with no winning season…

Gang Green has started the season 2-3, losing to the Minnesota Vikings 23-17 on Sunday, Oct. 6.  With 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Jets were considered all-in with Super Bowl aspirations, hoping to break their 14-year playoff drought, the longest active streak in professional sports.
