A New Jersey man who had been employed as a mascot for amusement parks and sports teams including Sesame Place is arrested on accusations he convinced a preteen girl to send him child pornography, authorities said. Don-Diego Parkman, 19, was arrested in mid-September, Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Theresa Hilton said in a news release on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Valentina Gomez, who had been running in the Republican primary for Missouri Secretary of State, finished in sixth place on Tuesday, Aug. 6, receiving just 7.4% of the vote, after a campaign filled with anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. Jersey City Mayoral Aide Fired After Supporting Sister's Anti-Gay Political Campaign
An aide to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop was fired after a show of support for his sister's political campaign known for its anti-gay rhetoric. Local political leaders, including Hudson County Executive Craig Guy and Rep. Vegetables, Bagged Salads Sold In 18 States Recalled Due To Listeria Concerns
A recall for a brand of vegetables and bagged salads has been expanded to 18 states due to possible Listeria contamination. Ohio-based Wiers Farm began its investigation in response to the Michigan Department of Agriculture's original findings, which led to the expansion. Products in the expanded recall were packed between Friday, July through Friday, July 12.
