A 34-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Jan. 29 with trying to entice a minor for criminal sexual conduct, authorities said. In August 2024, Ryan Niksa communicated with a minor in another state through social media app and text messages, Acting U.S. Attorney Vikas Khanna said. A Mercer County OB-GYN had his medical license suspended after he was accused of sexually exploiting two longtime patients during routine exams, authorities said. The state Board of Medical Examiners has temporarily suspended the medical license of Dr. Bruce Pierce, Attorney General Matthew Platkin and the state Division of Consumer Affairs said in a news release on Monday, Dec. 2. Brooklyn Man Forced NJ Child Into Prostitution: Feds
A 30-year-old Brooklyn man pleaded guilty to forcing a New Jersey girl into prostitution on Tuesday, Oct. 22, authorities said. In 2019, Soauib Butcher brought the girl by train to New York City, where he instructed the victim to perform oral sex for money on a rooftop in Brooklyn, US Attorney Philip Sellinger said. Several days later, Butcher brought the victim to Elizabeth where, from August 2019 to January 2020, the victim stayed with Butcher and another person in a series of motel rooms, Sellinger said. Central Jersey Man Sextorted Boy He Met In Online Gaming Chatroom: Prosecutors
A Somerset man was accused of trying to get a boy to send him nude pictures and videos in a sextortion scheme, authorities said. Sebastian Romero, 27, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 2, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release. The investigation started after the boy's family contacted the Cinnaminson Township Police Department in July. A 26-year-old Newark man was sentenced 10 years in prison on Thursday, Aug. 1 after pleading guilty to offering two teenagers narcotics for sex in Morris County last year, authorities said.
