Longtime Clark Mayor Resigns, Admits To Using Town Employees For Private Business: State AG

The mayor of Clark Township pleaded guilty on Friday, Jan. 10, to using township employees to help him run his landscaping company, authorities said.
Salvatore Bonaccorso, who has been mayor since 2001, resigned as part of his plea, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. As part of the agreement, he is permanently barred from holding any future public office or employment, Platkin said.

Fundraiser Launched After Rahway Motorcyclist, 32, Killed In Clark Crash
A 32-year-old Rahway man was killed after his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle in Clark Township on Tuesday, July 16, authorities said.
At 7:55 p.m., Justin Almenas was riding his motorcycle westbound on Madison Hill Road, when it collided with a Honda Accord that was making a left turn from Adams Street, Clark Township police said in a release. Almenas was taken to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
