Firefighter Injured In Rutgers Barn Blaze A firefighter was injured battling a fire in a storage barn at Rutgers University in North Brunswick, authorities said. The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Horticultural Farm property at Rutgers Gardens, according to a university spokeswoman. The building was unoccupied at the time, she said. The fire was contained to the barn with assistance from local fire departments.  One firefighter received treatment at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, the spokeswoman said. DUI Driver Crashed Stolen Car On Route 1: Police Authorities have identified the driver of a stolen car that crashed into a utility pole along Route 1 in Central Jersey. Jordan White, 35,  of Paterson, crashed on Friday,, June 28, South Brunswick police said. He was seriously injured, they said. White allegedly was under the influence of drugs, police said, and the 2007 Lincoln Town car he was driving was stolen.  He was charged with receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, and numerous motor vehicle violations, police said.

Car Flips On Route 1 In Central Jersey (Updated) Police were at the scene of a crash in which a car overturned on Route 1 in North Brunswick, authorities said. The two-car crash occurred at about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 6 southbound near Adams Lane, according to the NJDOT. One of the drivers suffered minor injuries, North Brunswick police said. All lanes were closed for about 50 minutes, police said.

Police were looking for two vehicles that may have contributed to the crash: a white Infiniti G35 and a black Honda Accord, according to police. Two people suffered broken bones as a result of the crash, police said. There were large traffic jams during an investigation of the crash.
