Firefighter Injured During Santa Detail In Bergen County (Photos) A Glen Rock volunteer firefighter was hospitalized Saturday night, Dec. 21, after sustaining a head injury during a "Santa Detail" event, according to incident reporter Boyd A. Loving. The 24-year-old firefighter was riding on top of a fire truck when his head was struck by a low-hanging tree branch on Doremus Avenue, near the Glen Rock Municipal Pool, Loving said.  The injury, described as non-life-threatening, prompted an immediate response from local emergency services. Richard Larrivieri allegedly followed the North Haledon victim closely in the Rock Farmer's Market on Prospect Street then rubbed his hands on her thigh and buttocks intentionally just before 4 p.m. Aug. 17, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Same Highly-Intoxicated Hawthorne Man Found Lying On Same Road Just Over 24 Hours Later A 37-year-old Hawthorne man was found lying on the side of the same Glen Rock road twice, just over 24 hours later, highly-intoxicated each time, police said. A concern citizen reported finding the man lying next to a tree on the side of Doremus Avenue near Faber Field around 10:22 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, Glen Rock Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. Officers determined the man was highly intoxicated, and unable to care for himself.
