Man Tried Abducting Young Girl In South Jersey, State Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect
The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted abduction of a young girl. According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 12 at approximately 11:30 a.m. outside a home near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street in Maurice River Township in Cumberland County. An unknown male suspect tried to abduct a young girl, authorities said. A Lower Township family was rallying for support after five people were hospitalized by someone they claimed was a drunk driver in Cumberland County, according to a fundraising campaign. Three adults and two children suffered serious injuries in the crash on Wednesday, Oct. 30, a state police spokesperson said. Woman, 65, Dies When SUV Strikes Guardrail, Crashing Into South Jersey Woods: Troopers
A Millville woman was killed when her SUV crashed into the woods in Maurice River Township, authorities said. Alice Ferraro, 65, died in the crash on Friday, Sept. 20, a state police spokesperson. Troopers responded to Route 347 North near milepost 7.5 at around 11:41 a.m. Investigators said Ferraro was driving a Honda CR-V when the SUV went off the left side of the road. The Honda crashed through a guardrail and went into nearby woods. Ferraro was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remained under investigation, troopers said.
