A Barnegat man will spend up to a decade in prison for selling cocaine and having a gun, authorities said. Clifford Holland, 48, was sentenced on Friday, Oct. 25 to 10 years in prison, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. He entered a guilty plea for two charges on Monday, Sept. 9. Police executed a search warrant at a home on Gunning River Road in Barnegat on Friday, Feb. 23. Four men from Philadelphia were arrested in connection with a shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said. On Sunday, July 28, at about 4:30 a.m., Atlantic City police responded to the 2400 block of Atlantic Avenue for a report of a man shot. Police found a victim, 31, of Linwood, suffering from a gunshot wound. Lawrence Township Police Officer Piotr Bystrek was on routine patrol on Friday, May 31 at about 2:35 a.m. in the 2100 block of Princeton Pike in Lawrenceville when he observed two males on bicycles commit a traffic violation.
