Scrap Metal Company VP, 24, Killed In Jersey Shore Weekend Crash
The vice president of a scrap metal company died in a crash in Ocean County, authorities said. Kevin Scoda, 24, of Edison, was killed in the crash on Route 72, the Stafford Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, July 23. Officers responded to the scene near milepost 24.5 at around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 20. A 31-year-old driver from Camden County was charged with driving while intoxicated, assault by auto, reckless driving and child endangerment after striking a utility pole in Gloucester County, authorities said. Driver Flown In Burlington County Crash Dies, Police Say
A 57-year-old Cinnaminson driver has died after being airlifted to an area hospital in a Moorestown crash, police said. The driver, who was not identified by name, struck a tree in a two-door sedan on Tom Brown Road just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, according to police. He was airlifted to Cooper Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later. No other vehicles were involved. The Moorestown Police Department’s Traffic Unit is conducting the investigation.

A Millville teen was killed when he crashed his car after leaving the scene of a traffic stop, authorities said. Thomas Burch, 19, died from his injuries in the crash on Monday, July 15, a state police spokesperson said. An Avon-by-the-Sea man was accused of driving while intoxicated when he crashed into a vehicle and drove onto the Belmar boardwalk, authorities said.
