A Galloway Township man wanted in an Atlantic City robbery was taken into custody on a New Jersey Transit train, authorities said. Manuel Alicea, 30, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 26, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release. He was captured on the train at the Egg Harbor City station. Police said Alicea was a fugitive wanted for pistol-whipping a man on the 1100 block of Arctic Avenue on Wednesday, Aug. 14. Officers Injured By Belligerent Man At Apartment Complex In Camden County: Police
A 45-year-old man is facing charges after police say he injured two officers at a Camden County apartment complex last week. Police called to the Fairways Apartment Complex in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township on Monday, Aug. 19 for a disturbance inside an apartment when John R. Marchetti Jr. opened the door of the home and began yelling at officers to leave, police said in a news release. Police in one New Jersey beach town have released bodycam footage showing the arrest of a 28-year-old California surfer, which went viral on Facebook earlier this week. Belmar Police Chief Tina Scott released the 6-minute video of Liam Mahoney's arrest captured on Officer Braswell's body-worn camera on Tuesday, Aug. 20. Scott said police had received multiple complaints regarding surfers illegally entering the beach across the dunes throughout the week. A video showing the arrest of a 28-year-old surfer from California in New Jersey apparently over failure to possess a beach badge is under review, authorities said. Video taken Tuesday, Aug. 20, and shared to Facebook by Austin Downs, shows officers arresting Liam Mahoney of Junction City, CA, in Belmar. A former teacher at an Ocean County performing arts high school was accused of molesting a female student, authorities said. Douglas Bollinger, 56, of Neptune City, was charged on Monday, Aug. 12 with two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Four people were arrested after they were accused of having heroin, crack cocaine, and ghost gun parts in an Atlantic City motel room, authorities said. A Brick Township man admitted to having more than 100 grams of cocaine and nearly $20,000 in cash, authorities said.
