Police were looking for a man who had been harassing women while naked in a South Brunswick apartment complex, authorities said. The South Brunswick Police Department said a man has been approaching women at least five times in the parking lot of the Royal Oaks & East Garden Apartment Homes since July. The only article of clothing the suspect wore was a ski mask. Investigators said the man goes up to the women and "aggressively manipulates his waist area." An Edison man was accused of stabbing another man he knew during a fight, authorities said. Dante Wright, 24, was given several charges including attempted murder, South Brunswick police Chief Raymond Hayducka said in a news release on Sunday, Aug. 4. Car Rolls Over Man Trying To Prevent GF From Leaving In South Brunswick, Cops Say
A 46-year-old man from South Brunswick was hospitalized after a car rolled over him as he sat in front of it in an attempt to prevent his girlfriend from leaving, police said. The man and his 37-year-old girlfriend were arguing outside of a Harvey Road home around 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, when the man sat in front of the vehicle, according to police. The woman got out of the car to tell him to move but had left the car in drive, police said. That's when the car rolled over the man, leaving him seriously injured. He ws rushed to RWJUH. A tractor-trailer became fully engulfed in flames on New Jersey Turnpike in South Brunswick. New Jersey State Troopers responded to the truck fire on Tuesday, July 2 at 12:40 p.m. on the south outer roadway milepost 77.4 in South Brunswick Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesman. Upon the trooper’s arrival, the International tractor-trailer was fully engulfed in flames. There were no injuries reported, Lebron said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available.
