Teen Bicyclist Airlifted After Being Struck By Pickup Driver, 66, In Mercer County: Cops
A 66-year-old driver struck and seriously injured a 14-year-old bicyclist in a Mercer County town over the weekend, police said. The East Windsor driver was operating a 2013 Toyota Tacoma when he struck the bicyclist, who was crossing Twin Rivers Drive north around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, EWPD Lt. Thomas Meyer said. The teen was thrown from the bike and was taken to RWJ New Brunswick by New Jersey State Police Medevac and Capital Health Paramedics with serious injuries. Firefighter Injured In Rutgers Barn Blaze
A firefighter was injured battling a fire in a storage barn at Rutgers University in North Brunswick, authorities said. The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Horticultural Farm property at Rutgers Gardens, according to a university spokeswoman. The building was unoccupied at the time, she said. The fire was contained to the barn with assistance from local fire departments. Car Rolls Over Man Trying To Prevent GF From Leaving In South Brunswick, Cops Say
A 46-year-old man from South Brunswick was hospitalized after a car rolled over him as he sat in front of it in an attempt to prevent his girlfriend from leaving, police said. The man and his 37-year-old girlfriend were arguing outside of a Harvey Road home around 7:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, when the man sat in front of the vehicle, according to police. The woman got out of the car to tell him to move but had left the car in drive, police said. That's when the car rolled over the man, leaving him seriously injured. He ws rushed to RWJUH. No charges were filed as of press time.

A pedestrian crash temporarily closed Route 1 in Central Jersey, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 northbound near Adams Lane in North Brunswick Township, according to the NJDOT and local police. The crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26 northbound north of Route 650 (Chain-O-Hills Road) in Woodbridge Township, according to the NJDOT.
