Newark Sanitation Worker Pointed Handgun At Woman: Police A 42-year-old East Orange resident was arrested and charged with pointing a gun at a woman while working as a sanitation worker in Newark on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 12, authorities said. At 7:16 a.m., police responded to South 14th Street and Springfield Avenue on a report of a man with a gun, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.  Rahman Grimsley was arrested at the scene following an altercation with a female driver, Miranda said. Sanitation Worker, 23, Was Transferring Trash When He Was Struck, Killed In Bergen County: Cops Police in Tenafly have released details in the crash that killed a 23-year-old sanitation worker from North Arlington Monday morning, Oct. 21. The garbage truck was parked along the northbound curb of County Road when the vehicle was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer just before 7 a.m., Tenafly Police Capt. Michael deMoncada said. The crash happened just as the 23-year-old worker was transferring garbage into the truck.
