Four burglars, three juveniles, were arrested and charged after they tried to break into homes in Marlboro, authorities announced Wednesday, July 30.
At 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, officers responded to a 911 call from a homeowner on Witherspoon Way about people walking up his back patio and attempting to open his rear sliding glass door, Marlboro police said. The burglars fled when the homeowner yelled, leaving the area in a black sedan, police said.

Jersey City Man Charged With Murder In Neptune Avenue Homicide: Prosecutor
A 35-year-old Jersey City resident was arrested and charged with murdering a 56-year-old man, authorities announced Tuesday, July 29.
On Friday, July 25, at 9 a.m., officers responded to Neptune and Garfield Avenues and found Joey Richburg unresponsive, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, Suarez said.

Fort Lee Burglars Caught In The Act, Cops Say
Three people were arrested after police in Fort Lee interrupted a burglary in progress just after midnight on Monday, July 21, authorities said.
The incident happened around 12:46 a.m. near 206 New York Avenue, Fort Lee Deputy Police Chief Edward Young said in a press release.
Gerardine Paolello, 57, of Belleville; Tamir McFadden-Jordan, 33, of East Orange; and Nylah Walker, 24, of Newark were caught entering a parked vehicle in the area, the deputy chief said. Officers detained all three.

A Brooklyn man driving a stolen Porsche slammed into three police cars during a wild but short chase in Clifton, police said.
The chaos broke out around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, when Officer Benjamin Bressel spotted a 2016 Porsche Macan near Main Avenue and West 5th Street, Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson said.
The Porsche had a stolen Pennsylvania license plate, and Bressel called for backup. As he and Sgt. Matthew West tried to stop the car in a nearby parking lot, the driver hit Bressel’s patrol car and fled, police said.

Roselle Man Robbed Supermarket At Knifepoint: Linden PD
A 29-year-old Roselle man was arrested and charged with robbing a grocery store in Linden at knifepoint, authorities announced on Tuesday, July 1.
At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, Nigel Cummings walked behind the counter at the New Way Supermarket at 816 E. St. George Avenue, Linden police said. While brandishing a knife, he grabbed the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk was not injured, police said.
