Mercury Found In Some Jersey Shore Wells, Njdep Offers To Relocate Residents: Mayor Wells for some homes in Upper Township have tested positive for mercury, officials said. About a dozen wells were found to have "unacceptable levels of contamination" from mercury, Mayor John Newman said in a Facebook post on Monday, Oct. 14.
