Crane Crashes Through Roof Of NJ Home
A crane toppled over and came crashing through the roof of a New Jersey home on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Local firefighters shared a photo from the scene on Lea Drive in Hamilton (Mercer County) following the mid-afternoon incident. According to 6ABC Action News it was not clear whether or not anyone was injured.

EHT Driver Trapped After Vehicle Rolls Down 40 Ft Embankment: FD
A driver was rescued after their vehicle rolled down a 40 foot embankment following a crash on the Garden State Parkway Sunday, Sept. 7, authorities said. At 1:20 p.m., firefighters responded to the parkway in Egg Harbor Township and saw an SUV which had rolled over several times down a 40 foot embankment, the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company said. New Wawa In South Jersey Hosting Grand Opening: Here's What To Know
A Wawa is opening in Ocean County and the convenience store chain will celebrate the new location. The new Wawa will be open at 584 Cedar Swamp Road in Jackson Township on Thursday, June 12, the company said in a news release. A countdown celebration will start at 7:45 a.m. before the store officially opens at 8 a.m. A grand opening ceremony will then be held at 8:30 a.m. The first 100 customers will get free "Popping Bubbles & Positivity" t-shirts. Baby Turkeys Rescued By South Jersey Firefighters
Some baby turkeys owe firefighters in Camden County a debt of gratitude or at least a “gobble gobble.” On Friday, May 16, firefighters responded to Lambert Avenue after residents reported hearing what sounded like ducks in a sewer drain, the Gloucester City Fire Department said. The four babies turned out to be chicks, and they were retrieved from the sewer drain, firefighters said. After making sure they were okay, the chicks were reunited with their mother, who was surely very grateful, firefighters said.

Person Rescued After Falling 12 Feet Into Hole: Leesburg Fire Company
A person had to be rescued after they fell into a hole while working on a barge in Maurice River Township on Wednesday, May 7, authorities said. At 7:32 a.m., crews responded after the person fell 12 feet into the hole on the deck of a barge that was docked along the riverbank, the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company said. Firefighters helped rescue 32 people, 28 students and four coaches, after their boat began taking on water on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 9, authorities said. A woman and her two dogs were rescued after they became trapped in partially frozen water in Camden County on Sunday, Jan. 5, authorities said. Officers responded to the scene at around 4:18 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, the Long Beach Township Police Department said in a news release. A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash involving an ambulance heading to an emergency in Cape May County, authorities said.
