Man Dies Shoveling Snow In NJ: Police
A 67-year-old man died shoveling snow in Essex County, New Jersey on Sunday, Jan. 25, authorities said. At 12:44 p.m., officers responded to Beach Road and Martin Road for a report of a person down on the sidewalk, Verona police said. They found the man on his back unresponsive with a shovel in his hand, police said. CPR was initiated and he was transported to Mountainside Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The victim has not been identified, police said.

NJ Man Dies While Hunting In Maine: Authorities
A 69-year-old Bridgeton man died while hunting in Maine on Tuesday, Sept. 16, authorities said. At 8 a.m., David Ridgeway was bear hunting in Somerset County, Maine, when he collapsed, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said. Members of his hunting group performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. 6-Month-Old Infant Boy Found Dead In Poconos Parents' Bed: Police
A 6-month-old boy was found dead in his parents’ bed in Tobyhanna, Pocono Mountain Regional Police announced on Monday, Sept. 15. Officers were called to 8523 Hillcrest Drive at 8:47 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, for a report of an infant not breathing, according to Chief Chris Wagner. Officers began CPR, but lifesaving measures were unsuccessful. The investigation revealed the infant had been sick for several days before he was discovered cold and unresponsive while in bed with his parents, the police explained. The investigation remains ongoing.

Toddler Rescued From Near Drowning: Washington Twp PD
A 2-year-old girl nearly drowned in Washington Township on Tuesday, July 22, authorities said. At 6:13 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Spring Lake Avenue for a report of a possible drowning in a backyard swimming pool with CPR instructions being given over the phone, Washington Township police said. Officers were on the scene within two minutes and the toddler was alert and conscious, police said. The toddler was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution, police said.

Cops ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Ewing
A 64-year-old Ewing woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 1, authorities said. At 8:53 p.m., officers responded to 725 Parkway Ave. and found a pedestrian, later identified as Tina Mann, not breathing after being hit by a car, Ewing police said. Officers administered CPR to Mann and she was transported to Capital Health Regional Medica Center, where she was soon pronounced dead, police said. The crash remains under investigation by the Ewing Police Department and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and no charges have been filed, police said.

An Egg Harbor Township man was critically injured when his utility terrain vehicle (UTV) overturned on a road, authorities said.
