Father-Son Duo Plead Guilty To Fourth Of July Explosion: Somerset County Prosecutor
Two men, a father and son, have pleaded guilty on Friday, March 28, to detonating an explosive device which caused extensive damage in Manville over last Fourth of July weekend, authorities said.
Thomas Kaiser, a 60-year-old South Plainfield resident pleaded guilty to causing or risking widespread injury or damage, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, while his son, Erich, a Monmouth Junction resident, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office said.

Timothy Zeh, born on March 12, 1998, in Bethlehem, PA, had spent his entire life in Phillipsburg, NJ before moving to Easton. He passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, from injuries sustained in an explosion inside his apartment on West Milton Street, officials said.
