AG Names Knife-Wielding Man Shot, Killed By South Jersey Police Officer Authorities identified the Pennsauken man who was wielding a knife when he was shot and killed by a police officer. Keith Edelin, 46, was named as the man who died in the shooting, the state Attorney General’s Office said in a news release on Friday, Nov. 8. The shooting happened in the Westmont section of Haddon Township on Sunday, Nov. 3. Haddon Township police responded to an attempted burglary report at an apartment complex on West Crystal Lake Avenue at around 1:07 a.m. Officer Luke Falkenberg and his partner encountered Edelin in the stairwell armed with a knife. …

Forklift Operator, 46, Killed By Police While Wielding Chainsaw In Central Jersey: AG Authorities have identified a Keansburg man shot and killed by police while wielding a chainsaw, along with the officers involved in the Memorial Day incident. Willem Roman, 46, died from his injuries on Friday, June 14. Attorney General Matt Platkin announced his death in a news release on Monday, July 1. Keansburg police were called to perform a welfare check at a home on Seabreeze Way at around 1:07 p.m. on Monday, May 27. Two officers entered the home and found Roman with a running chainsaw, along with several weapons. Investigators said Roman approached the officers with the chainsaw.…

Homicide Suspect Killed By Police Officers At NJ Hotel, AG Says Two police officers are recovering from injuries after being shot overnight at a hotel in Woodbridge while attempting to track down a homicide suspect. The suspect was shot and killed at the scene, according to New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin. The two injured officers were from the Woodbridge Police Department and New York City Police Department, Platkin said.
