Loose Dog Killed By Car, Owner Cited — Again — For Animal Cruelty In Blairstown: Police
A New Jersey man is facing animal cruelty charges after one of his dogs was killed in a car accident and another was found loose in Blairstown, authorities said. David Black, 46, of Hardwick, was charged after officers responded to a crash involving a dog and a vehicle around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, Blairstown Police Chief Scott Johnsen said in a release. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two dogs — one severely injured and another uninjured. The injured dog died at the scene, police said. High Winds Wreak Havoc In NJ Leaving Roads Closed, Hundreds Without Power
Wind gusts up to 50 mph were wreaking havoc across New Jersey on Friday, Aug. 9. As of 2:30 p.m., thousands of residents were without power and multiple roadways were closed due to downed wires and related crashes. The National Weather Service also issued a new tornado watch across North Jersey. An earlier watch for South Jersey and much of Pennsylvania has been lifted.
