A powerful low-pressure system is set to bring more snow and rain to the region than initially predicted, with higher elevations now expected to see significant snowfall by Friday evening, Nov. 22 in parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. TGI Fridays Files For Bankruptcy Weeks After Sudden Closures Of At Least 12 Restaurants
Casual dining chain TGI Fridays has filed for bankruptcy several weeks after at least 12 of its restaurants suddenly closed. The company filed the Chapter 11 petition on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Texas, near its Dallas headquarters. Founded in New York City in 1965, TGI Fridays has 95 restaurants in the US, 39 of which the company owns and operates. The other 56 are independent franchises not involved in the bankruptcy petition. Two Allentown, PA men were arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 13, after robbing people at a motel at gunpoint in Sussex County last week, authorities said. At 5:30 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 10, three masked men entered a room at the Cobmin Ridge Motel in Branchville and robbed the occupants at gunpoint, New Jersey State Police Superintendent Patrick J. Two Allentown, PA residents were arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle from 7-Eleven and leading police on a pursuit in Morris County, NJ on Friday, June 7, authorities said. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a stolen vehicle from the convenience store at 45 W. Main St. in Denville, Denville police said.
