A Wall Township man was given a federal charge after he was accused of stealing more than $17,000 from a bank, authorities said. Jeffrey Kniffin, 50, was charged with armed bank robbery, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney said in a news release. The Manasquan Reservoir, a crucial water source in Monmouth County, has dropped to historically low levels as New Jersey experiences wildfires and drastic drought conditions. The reservoir's water elevation was recorded at 91.27 feet above sea level on the morning of Monday, Nov. 18, according to Marc Brooks, executive director of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority (NJWSA). A vehicle crashed and overturned on the Garden State Parkway during the morning commute in Monmouth County, officials said. The crash happened north of Exit 98 on the southbound side of the parkway in Wall Township on Wednesday, Oct. 2, the state Department of Transportation said. Three swimmers were rescued while in the water after sunset in Ocean Grove, officials said.
