Driver Airlifted After Going Airborne, Crashing 60 Feet Into Woods Off Route 70: Cops A 71-year-old woman was airlifted to the hospital after her SUV veered off Route 70 and crashed deep into a wooded area in Manchester Township, authorities said. The crash happened around 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, near the intersection of Route 70 and Colonial Drive, according to Manchester Township police. Officers arrived to find a blue 2016 Kia Sportage about 60 feet into a heavily wooded area. The driver, a Whiting resident, suffered multiple upper body injuries and was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, police said. She was not believed to have been wearing …

At 7:10 a.m., Dr. Jarrod Kaufman was driving a Tesla Model Y northbound on the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood Township, when his vehicle veered off the roadway into a briar patch, Chares Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.  Kaufman sustained a medical episode and was pronounced dead at the scene, Marchan said.
