Owner Who Left Cash At Central Jersey Golf Range Wanted, Police Say
Police were looking for whoever left a significant amount of money at a golf range in Holmdel, authorities said. In a Facebook post, Holmdel police said the money was turned into the department on Thursday, Nov. 8. The cash was found on the ground at around 2 p.m. at Swing Loose Golf, an indoor and outdoor range located at Bell Works. Police didn't disclose how much money was found. A Monmouth County man was accused of squatting in two vacant homes and falsely claiming to own them, authorities said. Markies Wells, 39, was given 13 charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Thursday, Aug. 15. Holmdel police responded to the wreck on Bethany Road on Monday, Aug. 12, a spokesperson for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said.
