Overturned Truck Shuts All Lanes Of Route 80: DOT
A tractor trailer overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on Tuesday, Dec. 17, authorities said. The truck overturned at 8:45 a.m. on Route 80 westbound near Exit 30 at Howard Boulevard in Mount Arlington, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said. All lanes are closed, the NJDOT said.

Dad's Route 80 Death Spreads Shock, Sadness
Shock and sadness spread following the sudden death of a 41-year-old dad on Route 80 this week. Troopers responded to the crash in the westbound lanes of the highway in Wayne at approximately 10:51 a.m.,Β New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. A Ford Econoline van, driven by Namon Melvin, 41, of Orange, had rear-ended a Honda passenger car near milepost 53.7, Marchan said. Hackensack Man Dies In Route 80 Crash
A 66-year-old Hackensack man died in a crash on Route 80 in Bergen County on Friday, Nov. 15, police said. Wayne Duncan was heading west when his Lexus veered off the roadway to the right and struck the guardrail at milepost 61.4 in Elmwood Park around 12:51 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. The vehicle then crossed all lanes and collided with the center concrete barrier. As a result of the crash, Duncan succumbed to his injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

Flanders Driver, 19, Killed On Route 80 After Rear-Ending Box Truck In Denville: Police
A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. Cameron Ray, of Flanders, was heading west in a Subrau when he rear-ended the truck near milepost 38.2 in Denville around 5:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Ray died as a result of the crash while the box truck driver suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.

Fleeing Morris County Driver Hits Officer, Arrested At Costco: Police
A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said. While officers were conducting a traffic stop on Indian Road, it was discovered the driver, Liam Harrigan, had an active NCIC Warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police said. As officers attempted to take Harrigan into custody, he fled from them in his vehicle, police said. A driver was hospitalized after his vehicle overturned on Route 80 in Morris County on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 10, authorities said. The driver of a Nissan Rogue lost control of his vehicle while driving on Route 80 East in Mount Olive Township, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The car veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned into the woods, Marchan said. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. One person was injured in a three-car crash on Route 80 in Parsippany on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. At 11:52 a.m., troopers responded to Route 80 eastbound at mile 42 for the collision between three passenger vehicles, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.

The 22-year-old Lodi, CA man was heading east when he ran off the left side of the roadway, struck the guardrail, went into a ditch, and collided with a tree just after 6:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. A loose dog was a little overzealous on Route 80 in Warren County on Tuesday, May 28, authorities said. Troopers responded to a report of a dog running on Route 80 eastbound in Allamuchy Township, Jeffrey Lebron a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. When troopers and civilians tried to capture the dog, they were bitten, Lebron said. The troopers and civilians suffered minor injuries, Lebron said.
